Good news is US 701 will remain open and SC Route 22 will reopen today! Additionally there are no threats to South Carolina in the tropics. Although there are scattered showers projected throughout the weekend, the Georgetown River is not expected to crest as high as originally forecasted. River flood projections are as follows:
Threat Assessment:
Waccamaw at Conway crested may be in minor flood stage by the 15th or 16th of the month
Pee Dee at Bucksport is crested at 25’
Sacastee is expected to crest at 23’ on 9/27 or 9/28
Pawley’s Island is expected to crest at 14’on 9/27
Hagley Landing is expected to crest at 24’ on 9/28-9/29
Georgetown- US 17 is expected to crest at 21’ on 9/28-9/29
Remember Business Recovery Centers are open in the Pee Dee, specifically as of today in Horry County, Marion County and Marlboro County. More Centers may be opened in the region within the next few days.
