The annual event is inspired by the memory of Angie Lewis, a local wife and mother. Angie passed away from breast cancer in 2010 at the age of 37. In appreciation for the support she received from the community during her illness, her family and friends have created this benefit to monetarily assist other local residents and families struggling with similar circumstances.
