Event Description:
Ingram Planetarium is sponsoring an essay contest for children ages 16 and under called “Why I Like Space.” The contest winner will receive a telescope.
In a minimum of 100 words, tell the Planetarium what you like about space. Entries should be typed, not handwritten, and are limited to one essay per contestant. An adult may type and submit an entry for a young author but may not change the content of the essay. Judging will be done by an independent source. The decision of the judge is final. Scoring rubrics will make the judging fair for all ages. Essays become the property of the Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Inc. Submit your essay electronically to Mark@MuseumPlanetarium.org no later than 5:00 PM on May 4, 2013. Include the author’s name, age, and contact information when you email the essay.
