The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center formally thanked the Horry County Police Department for their support of the Little River Chamber and community with a donation to their “Shop with a Cop” program. Our Horry County Police Officers serve both the World Famous Blue Crab Festival and the Little River ShrimpFest, and protect Little River and its surrounding areas 24/7 and 365 days a year.

The chamber is charged with reinvesting proceeds from the festivals back into the community.  “Police officers work relentlessly on behalf of our community to ensure our safety and this program is a wonderful opportunity to give back,” said Les Gore, member of the Board of Directors for the chamber.

Captain Robert Carr, Horry County Police Department, has served the North Precinct since 2010, “With this support we will be able to help more than 50 kids and their families have a merrier Christmas and shopping with these kids makes our holiday happier.”

The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center’s commitment to the Little River is to promote community improvement, tourism and commerce by proactive leadership and community involvement.
